2025 Ford Bronco: For Boy Scouts and Everyone Else
by Ofira Hang
There is a reason why they call it the Great Outdoors. It is indeed great. All those trees and waterfalls and open air and whatnot are pretty darn fantastic. And all this fantastic greatness deserves a fantastic, great car to travel in. And it doesn't get any more fantastic and great than the 2025 Ford Bronco. Here's why.
The powerful engine
Or rather, engines plural. You see, there are two engine options for this one, both effective and robust. The first (and standard one) is a 300-hp turbocharged 2.3-liter 4-cylinder, and the second one (optional) is a 330 HP twin-turbo 2.7-liter V6. The differences are minor in our opinion, but enthusiasts will probably have a favorite. That being said, they both come with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
If you're into manual driving (though we fail to understand people who like to complicate things that way), the Bronco will feature a 7-speed with a 4-cylinder. It takes more than an engine to make an off-roading SUV. This one comes equipped with a 35 inch mud terrain tires, a sway bar disconnect function, and electronic locking differentials. But all of these incredible outdoor features don't mean it can't perform just as well on a regular, paved city road. It has impressive acceleration capabilities depending on your trim of choice (the Wildtrak appears to be the quickest, taking 6.2 seconds to go from 0 to 60).
Let the air in
While it is likely that your outdoor adventures with the Bronco won't take you on an African safari, it does have the ability to get a little closer to it. Just like safari Wranglers, the Bronco's doors and roof can be removed, which makes for a much windier ride, although satisfying as heck. There to protect whatever is inside the car from the consequences of such a wild ride are rubberized flooring, leather seats, and sturdy racks meant to hold your mobile devices. Speaking of which, you can sync those mobile devices with the SUV’s Sync 4 system and either Apple Carplay or Android Auto. Feel like splurging for a little extra? Opt for the navigation system and B&O stereo.
Stay safe
The Bronco is a little like a Boy Scout who is so eager to go camping his sleeping bag is packed and ready a week in advance. But just like a good Boy Scout, it knows that safety has to come first no matter what. This is why it has safety features like blind spot monitoring, forward collision warning, and aids to support driving on difficult surfaces. The Scoutmaster would be proud.
