There is a school of thought saying that different forms of technology throughout the years have evolved as extensions to our bodies or senses. The telescope, for example, is an extension of our eyes (or eyesight). Phones are obviously an extension of our ears and mouths. Remote controls are an extension of our hands and fingers. We wonder if it means that video game consoles are an extension of our ADHD brain, but we digress (case in point, our ADHD brain).
The point we wanted to get to is that cars are extensions of our legs. And it's true that for the most part we don't get to choose our bodies (outside of any surgical procedures, elective or otherwise), but today is a great time to be reminded that nowadays we can choose some great extensions for it, like the 2026 Nissan Murano.
Sure, your legs could take you to work (and we should all be grateful for whatever properly operating body parts we have), but it would take them two and a half hours, and they'll need about just as long to recover. The Nissan Murano, however, has one little thing your legs don't: an engine. It's a 2.0-liter VC-Turbo, 4-cylinder with 241 horsepower. With all due respect to however many marathons you've run, we have greater faith in this one to take you to the office.
Looks and space
We know that our opening statement was that a car is an extension of one's legs. And we stand behind it. The thing is, the Murano aims to extend a whole lot more. You can think about its stylish design as an extension of your beautiful face, and all of its adaptable cargo space as an extension of your arms or back, helping you with whatever load you're carrying.
Technology and innovation
Inside the Murano there is a whole bunch of technological features just buzzing with excitement to extend you even further. The infotainment system that seamlessly integrates with your smartphone (another extension!) is happy to keep you connected on the road, and the suite of safety features (whatever driver assistance systems you can possibly think of) will help you stay protected, extending your immune system, if you will.
We aren’t saying that the 2026 Nissan Murano is about to turn you into a cyborg, but we also aren't NOT saying that.
