The 2025 Hyundai Porter Is the New Workhorse

We are used to using the expression 'workhorse' to describe a person or a machine that is strong, efficient, and productive. But with all due respect to horses, we think the expression needs a little update, given the fact that common machinery has replaced most horses that were on duty when the expression was first coined.

So what's the alternative, you ask? We suggest the 2025 Hyundai Porter. Though since it doesn't really roll off the tongue as smoothly, a condensed version such as 'Porterhorse' is our top candidate at the moment. By the end of this article you'll understand exactly what we're talking about.

Strong and practical

While other vehicles in its segment can be easily described as 'beasts', the Porter doesn't really answer that description. And it's not because it isn't capable (efficient engine options and the cargo capacity of your dreams really drive that point home), but because alongside its power and durability, it's more aesthetically pleasing than any motorized machine you'd expect to see in a rough, industrial jungle.

Versatile performance

It doesn't matter what industry you're in, the Porter is eager to deliver. It has the fuel efficiency and selection of economical engines to drive a business forward no matter the distances you need it to cover. Deliveries in the city? Check. Cross-country furniture transportation? Check. Taking your mom out for a spin on Mother's Day? Check, check, check!

Of our time

Our final argument in the campaign for replacing 'workhorse' for 'Porterhorse' is technology. Again, no disrespect to the noble animal, but last time we checked it didn't come with safety features, a business connectivity suite, or driver assistance technologies.

We will make sure to let you know if Merriam-Webster ever writes back.
