There comes a time in a person's life when they wish to have a sports car. For some, that time comes at 4 years old playing with Hot Wheels. For others, it comes around puberty when you understand that having one can impress the opposite sex. There are also those who experience it around retirement, when they can finally put themselves first. We are here to tell you that thanks to the 2025 Nissan Z, having a sports car doesn't have to be some kind of unattainable wish.
Classic driving for a classic driver
This car's design and silhouette are inspired by the original 240Z. On the inside, however, the design is inspired by the 370Z, because we all know that it cannot get any sleeker than the right kind of retro. But just because it's retro doesn't mean it can't be modern too. Adding a touch of modernity are the digital gauge display and the power-adjustable seats. There are also standard modern Technologies such as wireless smartphone connectivity, a touch screen display, a top-notch sound system, and even a Wi-Fi hotspot!
The standard Nissan Z comes with a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 and 400 horsepower. Fancy racers? The NISMO variant is upping the game with 420 horsepower. Getting a standard trim means you can choose between a manual transmission (six-speed) or an automatic one (nine-speed), while getting the NISMO, like a good pastor, exclusively ties you to the automatic option. The acceleration on this baby is pretty fierce, and the suspension is both sporty and comfortable. That being said, the NISMO is more geared towards the track, so it may be a little less comfortable for everyday arrenads (unless your everyday errands are driving track, in which case, can we be friends?).
Staying safe
People who dream of having a sports car don't usually dream of it for safe or practical reasons. That's what makes thrills so thrilling. But the Nissan Z is ready to be both the thrill and the supervising parent with its automated emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and blind spot monitoring. It is one step away from handing you a glass of icy lemonade at the end of a drive.
